Quick Overview

The Civic Hall is home to the city council and on of the architectural highlights of Millennium Square. Building was completed in 1933, Vincent Harris won a competition to design it in 1926. This was the era of the great depression, so its construction was mainly carried out by people who would have been unemployed but for this project.

The main features are the twin towers and the golden owls that adorn it, these stand proudly at the top of each tower and there are also 2 huge owls on ground level plinths.
