The Victoria Quarter

Quick Overview

This is the King Edward Street, on the south edge of the splendid Victoria Quarter. The amazing ornate brickwork and long arcades are the signature of this jewel in Leeds’ shopping crown. In here you will find Harvey Nichols, Vivienne Westwood and many other designer clothes shops.

This image shows off the grand gables along the tops of the walls, which were caught in the bright autumn sunshine in 2008. The stationary man in the middle makes a huge difference to the scene; a still figure in the mist of a moving mass.
